What customers say?

“ Champs is the University of Kentucky’s main dining hall. I chose it because it's where I get most of my meals in. The hall serves dinner, lunch, and breakfast which is very convenient. The food comes with a variety even serving Mexican food and different types of pizzas. And they even serve desert after meals if that’s what you are craving. The food at champs is above average in my opinion and is definitely worth getting meal swipes for. The staff can be mean sometimes but you just have to look past it. And the pizza provided in the photo above is probably my favorite choice for lunch. Champs is very good if you go near the times of when the food is being served because if you come late a lot of the food options are limited and it can be very crowded at times. Other than that its a great spot to eat ”

“ As a student at the University of Kentucky, I believe Champions kitchen is the best dining hall option on campus! The staff is always friendly, stations are always very clean, and it smells good within the space even at the dish return area. I especially love visiting the taco topping bar and it is usually the station I'll get food from when visiting. Since I live on the central campus I rarely visit Champs just because it’s more convenient in distance to go to The 90. However, whenever I have the time I'll take the trip down to Champs. There are many tables where you can eat, hang out, or get work done. The atmosphere is amazing, with great people and great food. My only complaint would be how early they close on Friday and Saturdays. They close at 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays and I personally believe that is way too early for a college dining hall. Especially since many students rely on the dining hall as their only food option. Overall, Champions is a wonderful place to eat and I highly recommend it!! ”

“ Champions kitchen is a relatively good dining hall for students at the University of Kentucky. They serve a variety of different food, the people who check you in are always friendly and it’s a great place to socialize with friends. At champions kitchen you can typically find University of Kentucky Undergrad students there eating or hanging out, but sometimes I often find student studying in there as well. The food they offer varies between Mexican, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches everything you can think of and they even have ice cream of all different kind of flavors. My personal favorite is the burgers that they have sometimes throughout the week. The seating arrangements make it easy to sit alone or even with friends. The only downside to champs kitchen is how crowded it gets around noon but overall, Champions kitchen is a great place to go get food and socialize with people. ”

“ It’s not the best food, but I know that this is a school cafeteria so my expectations can’t be too high. The staff is nice for the most part, with an exception or two. The Pasture and the Eiffel pizza are by far my favorites. The workers at both of these stations always seem happy to help and im more than welcome to oblige and eat their food! ”

“ Came to visit campus and decided to stop by and try. We first tried fresh food company and wasn't really happy at the money wasted, then we went to Champions and had a tour by Felicia before deciding to stay and eat. You can tell she was very passionate about her job And even recommended some places around campus that we could visit during our stay and answered all the questions we had about places on campus. The staff was very friendly and the student center is so big we got lost haha. Overall it was an a joy and we will be coming back when in town. My only complaint is the areas by panda express and subway has trash on the floor and tables. But overall the student center is beautiful and I would recommend to anyone doing a campus visit. ”

“ 95% of the time, you will get good food. Plenty of food and drink options, with a lot of variety and local restaurants. A meal plan is definitely worth it if you are a student who cannot cook, and Champions Kitchen is better than The 90 in my opinion. Only downside, which seems true with almost all UK Dining facilities is that the workers are either extremely kind and outstanding, or extremely rude and off-putting. ”

- Stanton Brown -

“ New pizza is great, everything is much better than last year ”

- Jackson Buehner -

“ The food is amazing for being school food. You can't expect much from a cafeteria, but the range and the variety that the Champions Dining gives you can make it good. The people that work here have only been nice to me, I haven't seen them being rude to anyone in the cafeteria. The environment is nice with a lot of cool things inside here. But I’m sure one day one of the cafeteria workers are going to be rude or off putting in a way. There is a lot of seating in this place so even when there are a lot of people you can always find a seat. When there are a lot of people in the cafeteria the workers step it up and keep putting food out. Some of us don't have to wait that long to get food. Overall I would recommend this place on campus, It's way better then the 90. ”
